Brian and Trisston each have extensive speaking experience.  Brian has presented at various conferences throughout Alabama and the United States.  The title of his speech “Let the Flame Within Burn Brighter” is in honor of his best friend, Dan Hansen, who passed away in March 2005. Brian uses his life experiences as a way to help people realize the importance of Self-Awareness, Self-Determination and Disability Awareness. Trisston is also an accomplished speaker.  She travels the state of Alabama and the United States as Ms. Wheelchair America/ Alabama 2005. The theme of her presentation is promoting the Extra-Ordinary Abilities of people with Disabilities. She uses her life experiences as a way to advocate, educate, and promote the abilities of people with disabilities.

Brian and Trisston have come together, as husband and wife, combining Trisston’s way of motivating a group with Brian’s way of informing people and making people laugh,  forming the dynamic duo of B & T.

Thanks for visiting!

Our Story

We met at the Youth Leadership Forum (YLF) at Troy University  in June 2006. Nine months to the day after they met, Brian gave Trisston the surprise of a lifetime.  We were asked to be the Keynote Speakers at The Alabama Transition Conference in Opelika, Alabama.  After the presentation, in front of over 500 people, Brian asked Trisston to marry him.  Of course, she said YES!  On May 24, 2008, we were married at Aldridge Gardens in Hoover, Alabama. Brian is currently employed as a Peer Advocate for the Independent Living Resources of Greater Birmingham. Trisston travels the state, presenting to organizations advocating, educating, and promoting the abilities of people with disabilities in her position as Ms. Wheelchair America/Alabama 2005.  She has paintings in galleries thoughout Alabama and is in the Very Special Arts of  Alabama Traveling Exhibit.  She also writes a column for the Tri County Gazette called "Trisston's Tidbits".

We love to visit the beach and be with friends and family. We have made so many great memories and are always embarking on new adventures. We hope you will enjoy exploring our site and come back again.
